Overcoming Corneal Opacity
Combined temporary keratoprosthesis enables the retina surgeon to see the posterior segment despite the presence of a corneal opacity (which can occur from an eye infection or trauma). This is significant because corneal opacities can otherwise delay time-sensitive PPV.
